Branch shredder for walk-behind tractor DR17 (wood crusher) – mobile high-performance equipment intended for producing firewood (length 10–12 cm) from dry wood of various species with branch diameter up to 5 cm, and for cutting fresh and dried logs. It is mounted on a frame of profile tubes with two pneumatic wheels and a small side subframe. It connects to walk-behind tractors with a water cooling system by a single-point hitch with an adjustable tension roller for the drive belt.
This DR17 branch shredder is equipped with a powerful crushing mechanism – two shafts (upper and middle) with eight wear-resistant one-sided sharpened steel knives that have undergone heat treatment. The main working unit connects to the walk-behind tractor engine by a belt drive that transmits torque from the machine flywheel to the device pulley and to a gearbox with a three-gear system that starts the synchronous rotation of the shafts in two opposite directions. For splitting logs, a metal work table and a steel threaded cone are mounted on the side panel.
Wood for processing is fed into the DR17 branch shredder for walk-behind tractor (wood crusher) via a wide metal chute with high side screens. Branches, under the action of the rotating cutting elements, are drawn into the crushing chamber, and the finished cut firewood is discharged through the outlet into a round unloading hopper.

Description
