Branch shredder for walk-behind tractor - log splitter DR7 – comprehensive universal equipment designed for shredding green wood (branch diameter up to 5 cm) into chips 10 to 12 cm long, and splitting logs from hardwoods and softwoods. Connects to a walk-behind tractor with a water-cooled engine via a belt drive that transfers torque through a pulley to a gearbox with gears made of heat-treated steel grade 45.
The main unit equipped on the DR7 chopping machine consists of eight steel knives with double-sided sharpening mounted on the upper and middle shafts rotating in two opposite directions. The cutting elements are distinguished by increased strength and are resistant to heavy mechanical loads. For wood splitting, a steel cone with a metal work table is mounted on the side wall of the equipment.
Material for processing is fed into the crushing unit through a long loading chute with high sides and steel rods. Branches are pulled into the chamber by actively rotating knives, and the finished shredded material is ejected from the opposite side through a discharge hopper with a protective screen. The unit is mounted on a profile frame with two pneumatic wheels and a towing assembly with a removable drawbar.
