The mounted transporter Poltava potato digger for a walk-behind tractor, single-row KK11, is distinguished by high productivity; it is used for mechanized harvesting of root crops - potatoes, garlic, onions, beets and turnips. This "shvyryalka" potato digger is attached to factory walk-behind tractors that have a hydraulic lift system and a single-point drawbar coupling.
Features of attaching the device to the vehicle - the digger must be offset relative to the tractor axis, for which a special transition plate is additionally manufactured. The belt length during lifting of the structure is adjusted by a belt tensioner with a compensator.
The optimal digging depth of this Poltava potato digger for a walk-behind tractor is 15 cm. For productive harvesting it is recommended to first clear the area of weeds, roots and mow the tops. It is preferable to work on well-dried, loose soil so that the soil does not clog the belt and the knife - in this case the tuber cleaning will be of the highest quality and damage to the root crops will be minimized.
The transporter potato digger "shvyryalka" KK11 operates from a belt drive that transmits torque from the walk-behind tractor pulley to the equipment pulley, as a result of which the gearbox is brought into working condition. The conveyor belt is driven by a chain drive with a tensioning mechanism. Stepwise change of the belt speed is achieved by changing the gear ratio. For this function the chain drive has two sprockets with 18 and 25 teeth.
Bulb (tuber) extraction is carried out by an active knife 45.5 cm wide with which the "shvyryalka" potato digger is equipped; it neatly undercuts a layer of soil containing the root crops. Soil together with potatoes is fed onto the moving belt, where due to vibration it is actively cleaned of soil and thrown out in the direction of the tractor movement. The universal assembly of the transporter, where no additional connections are used except the links themselves and steel rods with a diameter of 7 mm, guarantees reliability and a long service life of the mounted equipment.
