Planter for garlic and onion 2-row ChS2 (standard scoops - 24.5 mm) is designed to work with a power tiller. The design of the hitch unit of the onion and garlic planter is calculated for a single-point power-tiller-type attachment. The garlic planter is designed for use with a power tiller with power from 8 hp. When using the garlic planter with a motor tractor more powerful than 12 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases you must work carefully, monitoring the load on the units of the garlic and onion planter.
Purpose and operating conditions of the ChS2 garlic planter
The mounted garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove bulbs and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture no more than 30%. For planting, calibrated planting material sized 15-25 mm must be used.
Design features of the ChS2 garlic planter
The capacity of the seed-material hoppers is 10 liters x 2 pcs. The drive of the dosing mechanism is from the support-drive wheel. Planting spacing in the row: 110 mm, 125 mm, 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. A tensioner is used to compensate for chain length. The furrower and covering discs are adjustable, planting depth – 60-80 mm. A row marker is used for marking and aligning rows.
