TRACTOR HORST A 404CDXU: TEMPTING HOMELY COMFORT AMID THE WIDE STEPPE When bad weather in the field squeezes the last drops out of you, the first desire is simply to run away and wait it out. But a day is not elastic, and the work will not do itself. "Of course," a sensible owner will think, "you'll have to give up your last shirt for such comfort in the cab." However, all doubts will vanish completely when you sit at the wheel of the Horst A 404CDXU cabin tractor. ENGINE The proven KM490BT diesel picks up already from low revs. The engine displacement is about 2.5 liters, and it produces 40 horsepower. The air intake is raised into a zone of low dust, and clean air is provided by a reliable oil filter with a mesh and a sump. The fuel tank is hidden under the cab, so refueling is now easier than ever. It is polymer, so it is not afraid of rust. And underneath it is covered by a protective metal shield. TRANSMISSION AND CHASSIS Thanks to additional ballasting (66 kg on the front axle and 100 kg on the rear), the tractor's total mass reaches 2074 kg, and the tractive effort is 11 kN. A solid agricultural clearance of 495 mm allows careful inter-row cultivation without damaging plant stems. At the same time, the mechanical reversible gearbox with an 8+8 formula gives an excellent choice of speeds for any job, and the presence of a front hitch (FRT) allows easy and effortless maneuvering even in tight turns. THREE-POINT HITCH The rear linkage calmly lifts implements up to 600 kg, and connecting them is easier thanks to lower links with interchangeable balls. A spring on the top link immediately damps excessive rocking during transfers. The hydraulics here have their own separate 12-liter tank, and an additional pair of outlets makes it even more practical. And for active mounted equipment there is a two-speed PTO at 540 and 1000 rpm — adapt to tasks without problems. COMFORT AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT A spacious panoramic cab welcomes with true comfort, and you can enter it from either side. The modern hood design is combined with powerful LED lighting and additional roof-mounted lights. Large mirrors on rigid supports complete the visibility. You can forget about fatigue thanks to an ergonomic seat with adjustments and armrests, and all information about system operation is shown by a multifunctional digital instrument panel. The field is a field — nobody will ask whether you are comfortable or not. But with the Horst A 404CDXU cab, work turns from survival into a humane task.
