Description of the unit:

The single-cylinder compressor model LP 3989 from the German manufacturer Knorr-Bremse – an analogue of compressor 53205-3509015 produced by FGUP "IMZ" Izhevsk, and interchangeable with compressor 18.3509015 produced by JSC "Panevezio Aurida" Lithuania.

These single-cylinder compressors are installed on engines corresponding to Euro class 1, 2, 3 of all new serial KAMAZ trucks and buses with KAMAZ-740 engines: 11, 13, 14, 30, 31, 60. Such engines are installed in vehicles: KAMAZ-5460, 6460, 6520, 5320 and their modifications, buses: NEFAZ-5297 and LIAZ-5256 with KAMAZ engines.

This compressor is installed on equipment with YAMZ-8401, 847, 850 engines, and TMZ-8421, 8424, 8431, 8437, 8463, 8481, 8482, 8491, 8492 engines.

These engines are installed in K-744 wheeled tractors with TMZ-8481.10, 8481.10-02, 8481.10-04 engines,

in MAZ and MZKT trucks, chassis and tractors, BAZ chassis and special chassis, BelAZ dump trucks and loaders, Kato truck cranes, some Komatsu equipment, Caterpillar dump trucks with TMZ diesel engines 8421.10, 8424.10, 8431.10, 8463.10, 8437.10.

The compressor is equipped with a liquid (water) cooled head, reed (plate) valves and an integral crankcase and cylinder block cooled by the airflow forced by the engine cooling system fan through the radiator and across the cylinder block fins.
