Description of rotary tiller Kentavr MB40-2-4D (wheels 4.00-8) The rotary tiller Kentavr MB40-2-4D (wheels 4.00-8) is one of the lightest and easiest to operate among the mid-class "Kentavr" tillers. Very compact, maneuverable and convenient. The main difference from the popular model Kentavr 40-2-4 is the diesel engine with 4 hp. The diesel engine is noticeably more economical than the gasoline one, endures prolonged work under load better, and when RPMs drop preserves high torque and therefore pulling power. The tiller is equipped with a V-belt drive which simultaneously serves as the power transmission, clutch, active implement connection unit and an element of the safety system. The air filter with a remote air intake on the handlebars significantly extends the engine service life. The tiller cutter working width is adjustable: 570 and 810 mm. Steering height and tilt adjustment is quick and convenient. A tiller with a V-belt drive has a number of tangible advantages over similarly powered tillers with direct gear drive. If during operation the rotary tiller suddenly jams on a stone or stick, the belt drive cushions the impact and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a belt-driven tiller is significantly lighter and cheaper, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate. MB 40-2-4D has a bracket for front-mounted implements, for example a mower, which can be easily connected using the free pulley on the drive pulley. The rotary tiller gearbox is strong, cast-iron, and pneumatic wheels 4.00-8 are included.
