Description:

Repair kit for ZMZ water pumps installed on GAZ trucks, PAZ buses, as well as equipment for various purposes driven by an internal combustion engine.

The cooling system pump with housing code 66-1307015-B is installed in GAZ-53, 66, 3307 and GAZ-3308 "Sadko", PAZ-3205 and in the all-wheel-drive 3206 with the carbureted gasoline ZMZ-523 engine. Pumps with housing numbers 66-1307010-B, 53-1307010, 511-1307010 have a shaft, seal (face seal - fibre) and bearings unified with water pumps of the old design of gasoline engines GAZ, UMZ and ZMZ.

The sealing of the pump bearing cavity is implemented by friction of a graphite or textolite sealing sliding washer of the seal against the thrust bushing of the water pump housing. The seal is inserted into the impeller and fixed with a nut on the shaft. The snap ring of the seal is for ease of installation, and its installation is not mandatory or necessary for replacing the pump repair kit.

The ZMZ pump impeller can be carbolite or plastic with a steel bushing inside, assembled with the seal or separately:

Impeller with fibre assembled – 13-1307017-A
Impeller – 13-1307032-B

Repair kits for old-design water pumps of the cooling systems of engines: UMZ, ZMZ, GAZ, are identical and unified, but impellers are not interchangeable.

The pump is lubricated by greasing through a grease nipple. Usually LITOL-24 or another plastic grease with characteristics corresponding to the engine operating conditions is used for this.
