The difference between KAMAZ water pumps and Ural 4320 and ZIL 133GY lies in the design of the pump housing and pulley.

Before assembling the pump, check all mating surfaces for pores and cavities. If such voids are present, they must be filled with a polymer compound such as cold welding, flush with the inner surface of the housing.

Assemble the water pump carefully, applying sealant to all seating surfaces of the seals and pump seals where coolant leakage is possible. Grease the sealing spring of the water pump (barrel) with a consistent grease to protect against corrosion. Apply a layer of graphite paste to the graphite seal to increase the contact area of the thrust washer and the graphite sliding ring of the KAMAZ pump seal.
