Description of the Kentavr MK30-1T motor-cultivator. The garden-urban motor-cultivator MK30-1T is a new model in the "KENTAVR" line of motor-cultivators. It is intended for quick and efficient soil loosening on plots up to 30 sotkas (0.3 ha), as well as on beds, flowerbeds, in gardens and vineyards. The motor-cultivator is equipped with a 4-section tiller with a cultivation width of 450 mm, which allows soil to be loosened with maximum precision and neatness next to tree trunks, bushes or other plantings, as well as near fences, curbs, around posts, decorative park structures and rock gardens. A wide handlebar with soft ergonomic grips, a clutch lever of modern design, a convenient manual throttle lever, an additional plastic transport wheel, protective wings that cover the tillers across the full width — all this makes it unnecessary to exert significant physical force when working with this motor-cultivator, so its use will be comfortable and safe even for women and elderly people. Thanks to the power of a reliable 4-stroke gasoline engine of 4.5 hp, the motor-cultivator is capable of quality soil loosening in a single pass to a depth of up to 130 mm, even on fairly dense soils or on soils that have not been previously cultivated. The gasoline engine provides the motor-cultivator with autonomy for field work, has a small weight, starts easily at low air temperatures, responds quickly to throttle control, and is simple and accessible in maintenance and operation. The engine is equipped with an effective air filter and a manual starter. The muffler is enclosed with a protective cover to avoid possible burns. Drive of the motor-cultivator is carried out by a V-belt transmission with a controllable pressure roller. The tiller drive is carried out by a worm gearbox. The belt drive serves simultaneously as a power transmission, clutch and an element of protection and safety. If during operation the tiller suddenly jams on a stone or a stick, the belt drive will absorb the shock and prevent damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a motor-cultivator with belt drive is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, and also simpler and more convenient to operate and maintain than one with a gear drive. The driving and driven pulleys, as well as the pressure rollers, are not plastic but metal, therefore they have a long service life. The V-belt is segmented, with high traction performance. For safety and protection from dirt the entire belt transmission is reliably covered with a housing. The motor-cultivator is fitted with a tiller with a working diameter of 260 mm. The tiller consists of four template-shaped blades in each section. The blades are made of 3 mm thick structural sheet steel. The spiral arrangement of the blades reduces vibration and ensures uniform load distribution on the gearbox. All metal surfaces, including the engine frame, tiller parts and depth gauge, are well painted for corrosion protection and to extend their service life.
