Machine for plucking quail and pigeon feathers SO-400P - a compact convenient unit for automatic simultaneous plucking of 7 to 10 carcasses. The device is a roomy drum made of food-grade stainless steel for loading poultry, mounted on a housing where a 750 W motor and a pump for supplying water to the tank are located. A control panel with on and off buttons is mounted on the side wall of the housing - separately for the drum and the pump.
Carcasses for processing are loaded into the drum (diameter 40 cm), equipped inside the entire body with special flexible rubber plucking fingers - 196 pcs. A rubber hose with holes for automatic water supply is attached along the upper edge of the drum. The machine for plucking quail and pigeon feathers SO-400P is connected to a standard household voltage of 220 V.
Rotation of the lower disc of the drum starts when the motor is switched on – the carcasses inside the centrifuge, due to active rotation, catch on the uneven surface of the plucking fingers; under the influence of centrifugal force the wet feather is easily pulled out and falls to the bottom of the drum. The removed plumage is collected in the lower part by means of a plastic flap and fed under water pressure to a wide side drain.
The complete plucking process takes from 15 to 20 sec, feather removal efficiency up to 90-98%.
