The forage harvester picker KPF from “BILOTSERKIVMAZ” includes a shaft with discs in which five tines with spring teeth are mounted on bearings. Crankshafts move along a guide track and feed plant material to the auger. The auger is mounted on spring supports and, under the action of plant material, can move upward along the guides. Feeding blades can be removed or their installation diameter changed if necessary. The drive sprocket of the auger has a safety clutch, and the sprocket on the shaft of the pickup mechanism is made together with a one-way freewheel, which ensures disengagement of the picker mechanism when reverse is engaged. The pickup device and the auger are driven by two hydraulic motors powered by the harvester’s hydraulic system.
The picker is a mounted adapter for the towed forage harvester KPF-2.4, which is used to collect wilted sown and natural grasses from windrows. It provides efficient collection of plant material up to 0.6 m in height, windrow widths up to 1.8 m and with a mass up to 6 kg per linear meter. The collected material can be used for direct feeding to livestock or for further preparation of silage, dried grass meal, pelleted and briquetted feeds, as well as silage.
The picker operates with the KPF-2.4, which mows green forage crops, including maize at the milk-wax ripeness stage, with chopping and loading of the raw material into transport vehicles.
The type of picker mechanism is drum; working width 2.0 m. Overall dimensions: length - 2050 mm; width - 2400 mm; height 1050 mm.
