The trailed forage harvester “KPF-2.4” with pickup is used for collecting wilted sown and natural grasses from windrows. It provides efficient pickup of plant material up to 0.6 m high, windrow width up to 1.8 m and with a mass up to 6 kg per linear meter. The collected mass can be used for direct feeding of livestock or for further preparation of silage, haylage, dried grass meal, pelleted and briquetted feeds, as well as silage.
The pickup works with the KPF-2.4, which performs mowing of green forage crops, including maize in the milk-wax ripeness stage, with chopping and loading of the raw material into transport vehicles.
The type of pickup mechanism is a drum; working width 2.0 m. Overall dimensions: length - 2050 mm; width - 2400 mm; height 1050 mm.
The degree of chopping is adjusted by changing the feed speed of the mass into the chopping unit by the feed rollers and by changing the number of knives on the chopping drum.
