1-row planter for garlic and onions CHSN-1 (2 sets of cups - 23 mm and 26 mm) is intended for use with a walk-behind tractor. The design of the hitch unit of the onion and garlic planter is calculated for single-point mounting of the walk-behind-tractor type. The garlic planter is designed for use with a walk-behind tractor with power from 6 hp. When using the garlic planter with a motor-tractor more powerful than 12 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work carefully, controlling the load on the units of the garlic and onion planter.
Purpose and operating conditions of the CHSN-1 garlic planter
The mounted garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture not exceeding 30%. Calibrated planting material sized 15-28 mm must be used for planting.
Design features of the CHSN-1 garlic planter
The hopper capacity for planting material is 7 liters. Drive of the metering mechanism is from the support-drive wheel. Planting step in a row: 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain reducer of the garlic planter. A tensioner is used to compensate chain length. The coulter and furrow closers are adjustable, planting depth – 30-100 mm.
