Description of the Kentavr MB40-3 motor-cultivator. MB 40-3 — the most affordable by price, yet fully functional motor-cultivator with a 7 hp engine. It has the same V-belt drive as the MB 40-2, a ground tiller and a new air filter, only instead of two pneumatic wheels its kit includes a single support wheel. This is very convenient in use, especially if there is no need to constantly roll the motor-cultivator over long distances. The kit also does not include a bracket for a front-mounted implement, but if this turns out to be necessary, one can always additionally purchase and install both the bracket and transport wheels sized 3.50-6 or 4.00-8. The tiller gearbox is aluminum, the handlebar has a lightened post with adjustment only for height, so it is not difficult to operate. The V-belt-driven motor-cultivator has a number of significant advantages over similarly powered motor-cultivators with a direct gear drive. First of all, the belt drive simultaneously serves as a power transmission, a clutch and an element of the safety system. If during operation the tiller suddenly jams on a stone or a stick, the belt drive cushions the impact and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, the belt-driven motor-cultivator is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate. MB 40-3-4 — the most affordable by price, yet fully functional. It has the same V-belt drive as the MB 40-2-4, only instead of two pneumatic wheels its kit includes one small front support wheel. This is very convenient in use, especially if there is no need to constantly roll the motor-cultivator over long distances.
