Road salt/sand spreader 500 liters – specialized equipment designed to cover icy areas, roadways, sidewalks, and squares with sand or salt, with the aim of reducing accidents and injuries during the winter period. Can be used to apply dry mineral fertilizers to fields in the spring-summer period. Mounted on a mini tractor with power from 25 horsepower using a reinforced rear three-point hitch with double-sided pins.
This road salt/sand spreader is equipped with a large funnel-shaped plastic hopper with a volume of 500 liters, mounted on a sturdy bent frame made of round profile tubes. Inside the hopper there is an agitator for mixing bulk materials; at the bottom, under the funnel, a spreading mechanism is installed – a steel disc on which four metal blades are mounted. The working unit connects to the power take-off of the towing vehicle via a cardan shaft.
For precise dosing of dry materials, the 500-liter road salt/sand spreader is equipped with a slotted mechanism with manual control that regulates the amount of material supplied by opening and closing steel flaps at the outlet openings. The spreading distance is 8–24 meters; additionally, the dispersing mechanism is covered by a semicircular protective shield.
