Description of the Kentavr MB40-2 motoblock The MB 40-2 motoblock is one of the lightest and easiest to operate among the mid-class "Kentavr" motoblocks. Very compact, maneuverable and convenient. It has a powerful gasoline engine (7 hp) and a V-belt drive, which simultaneously serves as the power transmission, clutch, active-implement connection unit and an element of the safety system. The air filter with a remote air intake on the handlebar significantly extends the engine service life. Tilling width is adjustable: 570 and 810 mm. There is a bracket for front-mounted implements. Handlebar adjustment for height and steering angle is quick and convenient. A motoblock with a V-belt drive has a number of significant advantages over similarly powered motoblocks with direct gear drives. First of all, the belt drive simultaneously serves as the power transmission, clutch and an element of the safety system. If during operation the tiller suddenly jams on a stone or stick, the belt drive cushions the impact and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a belt-driven motoblock is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate. The MB 40-2 has a bracket for front-mounted equipment, for example a mower, which can be easily connected using the loose groove on the drive pulley. Handlebar adjustment for height and steering angle is quick and convenient. The tiller gearbox is a durable cast iron unit; pneumatic wheels 4.00-8 are included.
