The flat-cutter for walk-behind tractor KU5 (loosener) has a universal design that allows it to effectively perform both full-width and inter-row cultivation, maximally remove weeds and break up large soil clods into smaller fractions, thereby enhancing the fertile properties of the soil, retaining moisture and enriching the topsoil with oxygen.
The KU5 flat-cutter consists of two sharpened knives welded to a steel shank and eight disc looseners arranged on a shaft with a separate shank made of profile tube - four on each side. The knife shank has six mounting holes for adjusting the unit's height; between the disc mounting assembly and the shank a shock-absorbing spring is installed, which allows it to accurately follow the terrain profile during work, noticeably improving the quality of plot cultivation and preventing damage to the structure when hitting hard objects.
The flat-cutter for walk-behind tractor KU5 (loosener) attaches to the machine with an adjustable single hitch, which is selected for the specific model of the transport used. As the walk-behind tractor moves, the flat-cutter penetrates the soil, covering a strip 34 cm wide and undercutting the top layer, destroying the weed root system. And the disc harrows, which rotate intensively, well loosen the soil and actively crush large soil clods.
