When starting the engine it is responsible for transmitting rotation from the starter armature shaft to the ring gear of the crankshaft of the starting engine. It consists of an overrunning clutch (freewheel) and a drive gear with nine teeth.

This drive is installed on the helical-toothed shaft of the starter of the PD-10, P-350 starting engines, MTZ, YUMZ, T-4, T-150, KS-6, DT-75, DT-175 tractors, Kolos, Sibiryak, KS-6 and other combines.
