Compact high-quality single-row potato planter for a walk-behind tractor K-1Tz has all main adjustments, features good productivity up to 0.1 ha/h, suitable for planting seed potatoes with tubers up to 52 mm in diameter. Equipped with a sturdy metal conical hopper with a capacity of 20 L.
The potato planter plants on preprepared plots in a specific sequence - using a steel keel-shaped coulter, to a set depth (from 5 to 15 cm) a furrow is cut, tubers falling from the hopper are placed into the furrow and covered with soil by two furrowers on both sides.
The planting depth and the height of the earthen ridge are adjusted on the potato planter for the walk-behind tractor by means of pressure bolts on the coulter post and a special mounting system with bearings on the disc hillers. The planting mechanism is a durable roller chain with baskets made of steel wire. When the working chain moves, the baskets pick up the tuber and lift it up, delivering it through a guiding shaft into the holes formed by the coulter. The required planting spacing is set using a set of interchangeable sprockets, depending on the diameter and the number of teeth - 20-25-30 cm.
The single-row potato planter for the walk-behind tractor K-1Tz is driven by the rotating drive wheels/soil-engaging wheels via a chain drive, which ensures even movement of the conveyor without delays or skips. Tension of the drive chain is controlled by a special polymer roller that prevents sagging when the chain moves to another sprocket.
