Original multifunctional Polish potato planter Bomet with a mineral fertilizer hopper (row spacing 50-55 cm) performs planting of standard tubers (diameter 60 mm) with simultaneous enrichment of the soil with granular and loose fertilizers. The container for mineral substances is attached to the front wall of the receiving hopper (180 l), equipped with two corrugated hoses for metered application of fertilizers directly into the furrows with planted potatoes.
The seeding units are driven by the ground-engaging wheels through a drive shaft; for the fertilizer mechanism an additional sprocket is mounted on the axle to which a chain drive is connected. The planting distance of the Polish potato planter is adjusted using detachable drive wheels. By changing the wheel diameter using special mounting holes on the base plates, the required distance is set - 29-32-35 cm.
For cutting the furrow the two-row potato planter is equipped with steel keel-shaped coulters, the planted tubers are well covered with soil by three wedge-shaped hillers. The coulters and outer closers have additional holes and slots on the frame that correspond to a row spacing of 50 to 55 cm.
During the planting process, the Polish potato planter Bomet with mineral fertilizer hopper (row spacing 50-55 cm) feeds tubers on round cups of the roller conveyor through a guiding tube into the trench, and mineral fertilizers from the fertilizer unit are applied into the furrow, after which the closers perform the final covering of the crop. The operator can control the work process from the rear platform on the unit.
