Reliable grain seeder for a walk-behind tractor SD8 is designed for productive work planting many grain crops - wheat, barley, oats, rye, peas, buckwheat, millet, as well as medium- and small-seeded grain-legume crops on prepared plots with large and medium area. It has convenient simple control and all adjustments necessary for quality work.
The seeder is attached to a walk-behind tractor with a water-cooled diesel engine with a power of from 8 horsepower, connects to the machine by a rear semi-trailer single-point hitch. It is equipped with eight coil-type seeding units, with the ability to adjust the drums for the specific type of crop being planted - for this there is a special cell adjustment handle on the hopper body.
Seeds are poured into a long metal hopper and fed into the receiving chambers through special windows in the bottom of the container. In working condition the grain seeder for the walk-behind tractor is driven by a chain drive located on the axle of the traction wheels. Hitting the rotating coils, the seeds, via a flexible corrugated seed tube, are delivered to the base of the disc openers and laid in the furrow.
