Specialized convenient potato planter Polish Bomet tractor 2-row (row spacing 50-55 cm) performs the full cycle of planting operations, processing two rows at once in one pass. Designed for planting seed potatoes with a maximum diameter of 60 mm. Thanks to the capacious 180 L hopper it does not require frequent stops for refilling.
The unique design allows achieving high productivity - up to 0.2 ha/h when working on various soils. The Bomet potato planter has an original system for adjusting the planting spacing using support wheels - the distance between tubers is set by changing the diameter of the soil-engaging wheels. For this, there are several mounting holes at the base of the wheels, and the metal rim consists of detachable parts. By fixing the wheel in the selected holes, you can increase or decrease the diameter of the soil-engaging wheel and obtain planting spacings of 29-32-35 cm.
The potato planter is intended for a tractor with a power of not less than 24 horsepower, attaches to the rear of the machine with a three-point hitch. Row spacing adjustment to 50-55 cm is carried out by repositioning the keel-shaped coulter and the outer furrowers to the additional slots and holes provided for this. The unit has three wedge-shaped ridgers equipped with removable wings, which allows you to most effectively cover the planted tuber, forming neat soil ridges.
Two planting mechanisms are located inside the hopper and represent a roller chain with round cups, which operate from the drive of the soil-engaging wheels. Catching and feeding the tubers to the discharge tube, the potato planter Polish Bomet tractor 2-row (row spacing 50-55 cm) gently places the tuber into the rows at the set distance, after which the crop is covered with soil. There is a metal platform for the operator to observe the process.
