Reinforced semi-mounted equipment - two-row potato planter for a walk-behind tractor KS11 handles large work volumes well, designed to be mounted on machinery with at least 10 horsepower, attaches to the transport by a single-point rear hitch, the two work units are additionally securely fixed to the frame using turnbuckles.
The presence of two large metal hoppers with a total capacity of 120 L allows planting potatoes in two rows at once with high productivity - up to 0.2 ha/hour. The two seeding mechanisms that equip the two-row potato planter are driven by separate chain drives installed on each unit.
Torque from the wheels-soil-engaging lugs of the potato planter for the walk-behind tractor is transmitted from an intermediate shaft, through drive chains, to the conveyors installed inside the hoppers. Baskets made of steel wire fixed on the working chain move the tubers from the hopper into the guide shaft and lay them on the surface of the furrow cut by the furrower.
Disc coverers are located at the rear of the unit so as to maximally cover the planted tuber with soil and create an even soil ridge. The planting spacing of the two-row potato planter KS11 for a walk-behind tractor can be set to 20 or 25 cm, which is achieved by moving the drive chain from one interchangeable sprocket to another. Planting depth is adjusted by changing the furrower height from 5 to 15 cm.
