Modern productive potato planter for mini tractor KSN-2T-110 efficiently plants calibrated potatoes (diameter 60 mm) simultaneously into two rows, with a maximum productivity of 0.2 ha/h. Due to movable mounts with pressure plates, the working units freely move along the frame, providing smooth adjustment of row spacing to 50–60 cm.
The potato planter for mini tractors with power from 12 horsepower attaches via a rear three-point hitch. The planting mechanisms are driven into working condition by support drive wheels/soil wheels through chain drives equipped with replaceable sprockets of different diameters. By moving the drive chain to one of the sprockets, the required planting pitch is set — 20–25–30 cm.
This potato planter is equipped with two metal hoppers with a total capacity of 110 l. The planting devices located inside the hoppers are durable roller chains with metal stamped cups fixed at equal intervals. Tubers are delivered into the rows through guiding shafts with an installed interval, after which the rows are covered on both sides by disc hillers, which form a neat soil ridge.
Planting depth is adjusted by changing the height of the keel-shaped coulters, fastened to the frame with bolted connections. The KSN-2T-110 potato planter for mini tractor can plant tubers at a depth from 5 to 15 cm. The disc hillers are equipped with bearings that noticeably increase their mobility, which improves the quality of crop covering and reduces load on the machine’s engine.
