High-quality mounted equipment designed for heavy-duty operation - the two-row potato planter for walk-behind tractor KSN-2MT-68 can work with walk-behind tractors and power tillers with power from 10 horsepower, planting two rows in a single pass. It has an adjustable row spacing of 60-65-70 cm thanks to clamp fastenings with bolts that allow easy movement of the working units along the transverse beam of the frame.
Seed potatoes with a diameter of no more than 60 mm are used for planting. The two-row planter is attached to the walk-behind tractor by a semi-mounted single-point hitch system, and to a power tiller with a special coupling. It is equipped with two square metal hoppers with a total volume of 68 L. The dispensing mechanisms consist of a durable roller chain equipped with stamped round cups.
Planting the tuber into the soil and ridging are performed in a single pass by the 2-row potato planter, showing high productivity - up to 0.2 ha/hour. Keel-shaped coulters with reinforced tips cut the furrows, and disc closers cover the planted tubers with soil, forming a neat soil ridge. Planting depth is easy to set by changing the coulter height to the required value - from 5 to 15 cm. The ridgers have special mountings and bearings that allow elements to be set in three positions, adjusting the distance, tilt angle and height of the closers.
The chain conveyors that equip the two-row potato planter KSN-2MT-68 are driven by the traction wheels, which start the drive chain. Each seeding device has separate drives and interchangeable sprocket blocks. By moving the chain drive to a sprocket with the required diameter and number of teeth, the necessary planting spacing is set to 20-25-30 cm.
