The two-row potato planter for a walk-behind tractor KSN-90 (1T) is used for precise mechanized planting of tubers on private and farm plots. It performs the full cycle of planting operations simultaneously on two rows – cuts furrows, places the potato at the set depth and covers the tubers with soil.
This two-row potato planter KSN-90 (1T) is intended for use with walk-behind tractors with power from 12 horsepower. It is equipped with a sturdy profiled frame with reinforced single-point hitch. The working units are fastened to the frame by clamping plates and bolted connections, can move freely, changing the row spacing from 55 to 70 cm. Both planting sections are equipped with square hoppers with a capacity of 45 L each, keel-shaped shares with sharp reinforced noses and disk hillers (diameter 30 cm).
The seeding mechanisms are driven by chain drives from the wheels – ground-engaging lugs. Each section is equipped with a separate drive chain with a tension roller and a set of interchangeable sprockets responsible for adjusting the planting pitch to 20, 25 and 30 cm. The planting of tubers by the two-row potato planter for a walk-behind tractor KSN-90 (1T) is carried out by a chain conveyor with round stamped cups – when the machine moves, the conveyor begins to operate, the cups capture the vegetable and lower it along a guide tube into the furrow, where the hillers cover the potato with soil from both sides, forming a protective soil ridge. Planting depth is adjusted by repositioning the coulters from 5 to 15 cm. The maximum productivity of the unit is 0.2 ha/hour.
