The three-row vegetable and grain seeder SM-3 for a walk-behind tractor and mini-tractor is used for sowing operations on medium private and farm plots. It plants seeds of various row crops (corn, beets, carrots, etc.) in three rows simultaneously, to a depth of up to 7 cm.
The three-row grain and vegetable seeder SM-3 is equipped with three independent working units mounted on a wide steel profile frame using bolted connections with pressure plates. The movable type of fastenings allows adjustment of the row spacing in the range of 30–70 cm. Metal hoppers (capacity 15 L) for seed material are located at the top of the body and are equipped with disc-type planting devices with a planting step of 10 cm.
The sowing mechanisms are driven by a chain drive from the traction wheels — seed from the hopper is fed to the rotating disc to the base of the furrow opener, falls to the bottom of the cut furrow and is covered with soil. The three-row vegetable and grain seeder SM-3 for a walk-behind tractor and mini-tractor is attached to the machine by a single-point hitch; each unit has a support wheel that facilitates moving the implement across the sowing area. The drive chain is covered with a special metal shield, and the body and hopper of the working units are coated with protective anti-corrosion paint.

Description
