Universal unit for sowing operations with simultaneous application of dry mineral fertilizers into the soil - a grain seeder for a walk-behind tractor, the SZM6RDM 6-row disc seeder with a fertilizer hopper handles heavy workloads well, planting any types of cereals and legume-grain crops in six rows with a working width of 118 cm.
The metal hopper with two separate sections (for seed and fertilizer) at the bottom is equipped with seeding and fertilizer mechanisms driven by a chain drive from the drive-wheel soil-engaging wheels. The seeding drums have several cells of different sizes designed for a specific type of seed - fine or large fraction. To set the required cell type, the SZM6RDM walk-behind tractor grain seeder is equipped with special adjustment screws on the side wall of the hopper. Disc openers (diameter 21 cm) are mounted on two longitudinal frames on adjustable ladders, with the ability to change the row spacing by moving the openers along the profile tubes.
The SZM6RDM 6-row disc grain-and-fertilizer seeder for a walk-behind tractor or motor-tractor attaches to the machine via a single-point reinforced hitch system made of square profile tubes. During the passive process, seed and dry fertilizers loaded into the hopper pass through special windows to the rotating fertilizer and seeding units, descend through flexible seed-guides to the openers and are placed in the cut furrow at a depth of 5 to 10 cm. Planting depth is controlled by a wheel screw and changing the height position of the discs.
