The 4-row machine for planting seedlings for a mini tractor is used for mechanized planting of various seedlings in four rows simultaneously. It is intended for planting many vegetable crops (tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, celery, cabbage, beets, strawberries), can be used in forestry and gardening enterprises, when creating coniferous forest plantations (spruce, pine), planting fruit and ornamental shrubs, etc. It is very well suited for work on large areas.
The recommended plant height for planting in open ground is from 6 to 20 cm. This 4-row seedling planter has the ability to plant crops at distances of 20, 30, 40, 60, 120 cm from each other. Plants are planted to a depth of up to 25 cm, which allows maximum protection of the root system from damage. Soil compaction and formation of the soil ridge are performed by special rollers installed on each working section of the unit. The sections are attached to the frame with movable connections with pressure plates, allowing to change the row spacing from 50 to 115 cm.
The 4-row seedling planting machine is mounted on a mini tractor with a power of at least 20 horsepower using a reinforced rear three-point hitch with two-sided pins. Seedling planting is carried out by four operators who place the plants into planting discs with marker holes (60, 90, 120 mm). As the discs rotate, the seedlings fall into furrows cut by keel-shaped coulters and are covered with soil by two side rollers. The sturdy frame made of profile tubes is equipped with plastic seats for operators, a long platform for seedling trays, and adjustable side support wheels.
