Motor-block potato planter (20 liters) – compact maneuverable equipment for planting potatoes mechanically on small plots of land. Performs the full cycle of the planting process - cuts the furrow, places the tubers and covers the vegetable with soil. Suitable for work on prepared areas with different soils.
The potato planter is attached to the motor-block by a rear adjustable hitch; recommended power of the towing vehicle - not less than 6 horsepower. Potatoes are loaded into a hopper with a volume of 20 liters; vegetables with a diameter of no more than 40 mm are used for planting. The planting device is a belt conveyor with round metal cups, driven from the axle of the traction wheels through a chain drive. Tubers from the hopper are fed on the conveyor to the guide tube, fall into the furrow cut by the keel-shaped coulter and are covered with soil using two disc-shaped hillers.
Planting depth is adjusted by repositioning the working height of the coulter from 5 to 10 cm; available track widths - 55 cm, 65 cm. The disc hillers with which the motor-block potato planter (20 liters) is equipped are mounted on movable mounts and have bearing connections, which makes it possible to change the distance and angle between the tools depending on the specifics of the sowing area. Maximum unit productivity - 0.1 ha/h.
