The two-row potato planter for minitractor KSN-2T-68 is used for accurate mechanized planting of potatoes on private or small farm plots. It attaches to equipment with at least 10 horsepower by three-point hitching, reinforced with profile tubes and steel strips. The device is equipped with two planting units mounted on a longitudinal profile beam with movable locks, allowing track width adjustment to 60, 65 and 70 cm.
Calibrated tubers up to 60 mm in diameter are loaded into two receiving hoppers with a volume of 25 l each. Inside the hoppers, the two-row potato planter KSN-2T-68 is equipped with chain conveyors with round metal cups, which are driven separately by chain drives from the rotation of the drive wheels/ground-engaging wheels. As the conveyor moves, the potatoes are lifted upward on the cups, descend through a guide shaft to the base of the keel-shaped coulters and are placed into the cut furrows.
The planted tuber is neatly covered with soil on both sides by the two-row potato planter for minitractor using disc hillers, which simultaneously form a protective soil ridge. Planting spacing is adjusted by a block of interchangeable sprockets by moving the drive chain to 20, 25 and 30 cm. Planting depth is set by changing the working height of the keel-shaped coulters from 5 to 15 cm; the maximum productivity of the unit is 0.2 ha/hour.
