Special set for potato planting universal Forte KS16 reversible type, used for planting seed potatoes on small plots of land. It has a simple functional design, consisting of two mounts on a pivot mechanism - for the coulter and the coverers. The working process consists of several stages, including manual placement of the tuber.
First, the potato planter for the walk-behind tractor is installed with the side with the mount where the share for cutting the furrow is located. Tubers of potato are laid by hand in the furrow formed along the entire length of the plot, after which, using the pivot mechanism, two disc hillers are brought to the working position. The walk-behind tractor is turned and passes again along the same furrow, carefully covering the planted tuber with the coverers.
The universal potato planting set Forte KS16 is intended for use on walk-behind tractors with an air cooling system that have a Zirka-105 type hitch assembly. The unit is fixed to the machine by the front part of the welded drawbar with clamping bolts. The frame made of metal profile is provided with a pivot mechanism lock with a rotation angle of 900. The disc hillers are attached with bushings and bolted connections, which allows quick adjustment of the attack angle and the height of the coverers. The steel stand of the coulter provides six mounting holes with a diameter of 12.5 mm for setting the required planting depth of the potato.
