Two-row potato planter for mini tractor KSN-90 (3T) fully performs all stages of planting the vegetable mechanically, with precisely set parameters, on two rows simultaneously. Calibrated tubers are used for planting and are loaded into two square hoppers with a volume of 45 l each - this allows planting a fairly large area in a short time, achieving a maximum productivity of 0.2 ha/hour. The equipment is attached to mini-tractors with power from 12 horsepower using a three-point hitch system reinforced with steel angles.
The two working sections with which the two-row potato planter KSN-90 (3T) is equipped are secured to a profiled frame with movable bolted connections with pressure plates. The free type of fastenings allows adjustment of the row spacing within 55–75 cm by moving the blocks along the frame. The planting mechanisms located inside the two hoppers are driven by chain drives from the wheels-ground-engaging lugs. A block of interchangeable sprockets on the drive is used to adjust the planting pitch – the required pitch (20, 25, 20 cm) is set by moving the drive chain to the sprocket with the necessary diameter and number of teeth.
Planting depth is adjusted by repositioning the working height of the coulter-like shares from 5 to 15 cm. During planting, the two-row potato planter for mini tractor KSN-90 (3T) captures tubers loaded into the hoppers with the scoops of the chain conveyor, drops them down the guide shaft to the base of the coulters and places them in the cut furrows. The disc hillers located at the rear cover the root crop with soil from both sides while simultaneously forming a high, even earth ridge.
